Microphthalmos with Orbital Cyst: Case series with a review of literature

Microphthalmos with orbital cyst is a rare congenital abnormality of fetal fissure closure leading to small eyeball associated an cyst. In this case series, we describe six such cases and discuss the clinical features, differential diagnosis, diagnostic modalities, management in accordance existing literature. Out cases, four were male two females. All presented swelling lower eyelid involved eye, which was right eye all patients left female cases. Other showed uveal coloboma 50% diagnosed based on features radiological findings (ultrasonography B-scan and/or Computed Tomography scan). Two from our series underwent surgery (cyst excision enucleation microphthalmic implant conformer) and, histopathology confirmed diagnosis microphthalmos presents as since birth careful examination often reveals eye. managed followed by conformer, good cosmetic results.
